Service Technician

We are looking for a full-time hybrid Service Technician, Preffered location Bucharest, Romania. Part of the job will also involve training customers on how to effectively use and maintain MEYER equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for commissioning new optical sorters and X-Ray detectors at customer site, ensuring they are set up and functioning correctly. You will provide first-line troubleshooting and on-site routine maintenance, addressing any technical issues to keep the systems operating at peak performance. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting system upgrades and changeouts as needed. You’ll perform tests for potential clients, demonstrating the capabilities and benefits of our sorting machines. This position is ideal for someone with a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

• A secondary/bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience as a Service Technician providing maintenance or repair service / technical support on industrial equipment
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with experience repairing complex electro – mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams
• Strong communication skills in English with excellent customer relations skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, travel to customer locations throughout Europe, and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
